The scope of business of an international forwarding agent engaged in business activities as an agent or as an independent operator

Include:

1. Canvassing goods, booking shipping space (including chartering, chartering and packing), consignment, storage and packaging;

2. Supervision and unloading of goods, container loading and unloading, distribution, transfer and related short-distance transport services;

3. Customs declaration, inspection, inspection and insurance;

According to the entrusted items and business process, it can be divided into booking agents, cargo declaration agents, route agents, cargo import agents, cargo export agents, container freight agents, container unpacking agents, cargo handling agents, transit agents, cargo handling agents, storage agents, inspection agents and inspection agents. International freight forwarders are mainly engaged in the following businesses:

(1) to serve the shipper

The forwarder undertakes any of the procedures in the transport of different goods on behalf of the consignor:

1. Arrange proper packing of goods and choose proper transportation route by the fastest and most economical way.

2. Advise customers on warehousing and distribution.

3. Choose a reliable and efficient carrier and be responsible for concluding the contract of carriage.

4. Arrange the weighing and measurement of goods.

5. Transact cargo insurance.

6. Handle the assembly of goods.

7. Warehousing of goods before shipment or distribution of goods at destination.

8. Arrange the transportation of the goods to the port, go through the customs formalities and the relevant documents, and deliver the goods to the carrier.

9. To pay freight, duties and taxes on behalf of the shipper.

10. Transact any foreign exchange transactions relating to the transport of goods.

11. Obtain the bill of lading from the carrier and deliver it to the shipper.

12. Liaise with foreign agents to monitor the shipment process and let shippers know where the goods are going.

(2) serving the customs

When a freight forwarder ACTS as a customs agent in handling customs formalities relating to import and export commodities, it is responsible, on behalf not only of its clients but also of the customs authorities, for declaring the exact amount, quantity and name of the goods so as to protect the government from losses in these respects.

(3) to serve the carrier

The freight forwarder shall book the space with the carrier in time, agree on a fair and reasonable fee for both the shipper and the carrier, arrange for the delivery of the goods at an appropriate time and settle the freight account and other issues in the name of the shipper and the carrier.

(iv) service for airlines

Freight forwarders act as agents for airlines in the air freight industry. In this relationship, it USES the carrier's freight methods to serve the shipper and is paid a commission by the carrier. At the same time, as a freight forwarder, it continues to serve the shipper or consignee by providing services suitable for air transportation.

(v) to serve the liner company

The relationship between freight forwarders and liner companies varies with the business. (一)为托运人服务

货代代表托运人承担运输不同货物的任何程序:

(二)为海关服务

当一个货运代理作为报关代理人办理相关海关手续的进出口商品,这是负责任的,不仅代表客户还海关当局宣布确切的数量,货物的数量和名称,以防止政府在这些方面的损失。

(三)为承运人服务

货运代理应书的空间载体,达成公平合理收费对托运人和承运人,安排交货在适当的时间和解决运费明细表和其他问题在托运人和承运人的名称。

(四)航空公司服务

货运代理是航空货运业中航空公司的代理。在这种关系中，它使用承运人的货运方法为托运人服务，并由承运人支付佣金。同时，作为货代公司，继续为托运人或收货人提供适合航空运输的服务。

(五)为班轮公司服务
